Crocodile is a full grain protected aniline leather that has been dyed for color and embossed to simulate a crocodile hide. The pattern repeat is very similar to that of a striped fabric. Since the flow of the design is vertical you will have to plan carefully for the application and waste factor that Crocodile leather may require. Crocodile is layered with water-based finishes and glazes that give this leather its rich deep color. A clear water-based top coat is applied for protection. All finishes are applied by hand. Inconsistencies caused by natural markings such as healed scars, scratches, neck and belly wrinkles are apparent throughout each hide and should be appreciated.
